Demitri stormed into 'Ryu's empty chamber on seeing the guards all lying on the floor. The large indent on the wall had confirmed his suspicions.

^Impressive..Few strong will men could survive the advances of the Mistress….NO!!!! MY trump card is at risk!!!!^ Demitri strides out and headed over to the East wing.

There was a hint of panic when he saw Morrigan/Lilith slumped among the guard demons. Bursting in Demitri found that the chamber showed signs of scuffle that led to balcony. It was either that or the Twisted Pair had one heck of a wild time in the fifteen minutes that he was gone. Demitri started to worry as he strides to large open widow. The wind blowing rags of curtain. He could feel residue rage in the balcony area. Looking over he saw that the treetop canopy had being disturbed. He hopes that it was not his trump card that had fallen over. There was a soft moan of pain coming from under the silk screen. Pushing it aside he found 'ChunLi' clutching her head in pain. Demitri eased 'ChunLi' into his arms, he called her hoping to snapped her out of her torment.

^No…Now it's leading to this. Those fools care not for who they torment in this struggle! ^ Seeing her in pain made him consider if he should tell her. As the pain doubles in strength Demitri sighed, he can't afford to lose a key point to overthrowing the Mistress.

^For the sake of her sanity and my plan…^ he thought.

"My Lady. Can you hear me?"

"Do not fight the call….It affects those who are strong and new to this world." Demitri noted that 'ChunLi' seem to be listening.

"The more you fight the more it pulls. Acknowledge it presence. Let it pass from your mind. But do not fight it."

There was a short moment of silence from 'ChunLi'. But Demitri was relieved to see that her eyes had reopen with comprehension. He carried her to bed and laid her down.

"Your mate was here?"

"….Yes." 'ChunLi kept staring at the balcony. Demitri sort understood her meaning.

"Have you considered your options?" He noticed she seem strangely subservient but shrug the thought off.

"Yes…."

"Then will you throw your lot in mine?"

^Docile…Excellent. So this is what she is like with that barbarian's influence on her. She will be an easy one to tame. A good start in deed. Heh heh heh.^

"…Yes….But why me?"

"You have potential, being with him must have suppress awareness of your own potential. Surely you must have wondered if you had led your life in vain by throwing your lot with him? The mistress would be no match for us. Together we have what it takes to take over this world."

"Well well. Whatdayou know." A voice close to Demitri's ear said. The owner of the voice grabbed him before he could turn around. Slamming Demitri against the wall and keeping one knee to his back and his arms locked behind him.

"I thought you were dead?!"

"You wish. What? First you try to seduce my mate, then you want set her up against that loon of a Mistress of yours. What am I? Dead fish? Are you comfortable? No? Good." 'Ryu' said.

"I was only trying to help the both of you."

"Yeah right."

"Are you jealous?" 'ChunLi' asked 'Ryu'

"Jealous? Why should I be? Just don't like the way he puts his paws on ya." Seriously contradicting himself.

"Now. My lady. Do you seriously consider spending your life with such a possessive man?" He could sense discord between the two and there is a chance he could use that to his advantage.

"You shut up!" 'Ryu' growled applying more pressure against Demitri

"I have a proposition for the both of you."

"No way am I gonna work with you."

"Keep quiet. I want to hear what he has to afford." 'ChunLi' hissed at 'Ryu'

"Oy. Why the interest? Is there something going between you and him?"

"You really want to know."

"Yeah I need to know. Tell me baby girl cause I need to know."

"Call me that again and you'll be eating liquid food for the rest of your life." The heat in this room seem to be increasing.

"Please do not fight him. Surely we can come to a compromise. We need all the muscle we can find." Demitri was playing against the mood of the Twisted Pair.

^Ah well. No point having them tear each other's throat out. ^ Demitri thought.

"You see. We have a common enemy."

"We have nothing in common with the likes of you." 'Ryu' growled

"Surely you want to be rid of the Mistress? After that we can take over this realm and I can help you take over yours."

"Why do you want to help us?" 'Ryu' showed sudden interest. Demitri smiled now that he had 'Ryu's attention as well.

^Too easy. The Bride of Darkness and her powerful mate indeed. ^

"Now do consider my offer. Remember that the both of you are power made flesh, full of vaulting ambition? The hunger to conquer and destroy whatever that stands in your way. Now why should you let such destructive potential to be suppress by the false intention of leading your lives under the guise of a pair of goody-two-shoes? Do you not hope to make the world tremble in fear at the mention of your names? Do you not hope for your children to inherit your legacy?"

"Tempting…" 'Ryu mumbled

"Indeed." 'ChunLi' agreed

"You know. Demi boy. I would gladly die serving you had I being interested. But I'm not. Come on Chun-Chun, fun's over let's go." 'Ryu' grabbed Demitri and move towards the door.

"RELEASE HIM!" Morrigan shouted as the door was flung open. Backing her up was a horde of demon guards. By now Lilith has separated from Morrigan.

"You really want him?" 'ChunLi' asked, a smirk on her face.

"You know not what you are dealing with witch." Lilith hissed.

"Seriously. You are interested in saving one who intends to stab you in the back if he has the opportunity to?"

"What?!"

"Demi boy here. Wants us to take you down." 'ChunLi' thumbed to her right

"NO! Mistress Do not listen to their lies! They're setting you up!!"

"Demi kins. Didn't you want me to take down your missy here? Why the sudden change of heart?" she patted his face.

"So you still want him? " 'Ryu' asked.

"Is there truth in what they say?" Morrigan asked in a flat tone

"No don't listen to them Mistress!!!" panic was obvious in his voice.

"Demitri. You do know full well what I do to traitors? I will deal with you in good time."

"Mistress!!! I was trying to convince them to join us!!!!"

"And what about us?" 'Ryu' asked.

"I would still need underlings. You and your mate shall be rewarded accordingly."

"Same old story. Ryu, I don't want Demitri anymore." 'ChunLi' said

"Okay!" he lifted Demitri above his head and flung him towards Morrigan and her demons. 'Ryu' grabbed 'ChunLi' and run towards the main hall as Morrigan was trying to get up.

"GET THEM!!!! DON"T LET THEM ESCAPE!!!!!!" Hordes of demons began crowding the path of the Twisted Pair.

"Stay close" 'Ryu' growled

"You don't have tell me that."

"Force of habit."

The Twisted Pair had fought their way to the main door, Morrigan had finally free herself and had Demitri guarded. One traitor in her midst had cause her to be mildly agitated. IF she loses the Twisted Pair she might flare up in somebody's face.

"Well at least Demitri would make an excellent punching bag." She mumbled.

"How long can you hold up? You will tire soon." Morrigan said, watching wave after wave of demons take the place of the fallen demons. The Twisted Pair is strong indeed.

"Once more I offer you. Join me in my cause and I will let the both of you remain together. Is that not what you wanted?"

"HA! US? Work for you? Dream on!" 'Ryu' shouted back he tossed away another demon. He glanced towards 'ChunLi' who was holding on quite well.

"I GAVE YOU CHOICE AND YOU DARE REJECT ME!!!!! TAKE BOTH OF THEM DOWN!!!!" Morrigan screeched. The wave of demons increased in quantity.

^^Fight or run?^^ 'Ryu' sent her. She was shaking off a demon who hung onto her leg.

^^Chickening out so soon? ^^ she shot back.

^^Aww…Come on I have your welfare at heart.^^ 'Ryu' said in hurt voice.

^^What are our options?^^ 'ChunLi' tore a demon off 'Ryu's back

^^No much. Considering that fact that we can only head South…… NOW!^^

"KIKOSHO!!!!!"

"SHINKU HADOKEN!!!!!!" 'Ryu's fired towards the door while 'ChunLi' cleared a temporary around them. Before a fresh wave of demons came in 'Ryu' grabbed 'ChunLi's wrist and started to run.

"GET THEM THEY MUST NOT ESCAPE!!!!" Morrigan screamed, as the demons raced after the Twisted pair.

Without looking back they kept running South, knowing that the demons were not far behind. Strangely after a little while the demons seem to be dropping back. The Twisted Pair found out why. They are now standing in front of a wide chasm.

"Whoa! End of the road…."

"…" 'ChunLi' kicked at a few small rocks, which fell into the deep darkness. She raises an eyebrow.

"You see you do not have much options now. Ha ha ha. My offer for the two of you to join me still stands. Think about it. You still do have two brats in your realm." All Morrigan got was silence, The Twisted Pair seem rather fascinated by the yawning mouth of oblivion that stood before them.

"Mory…are you sure about this?" Lilith asked.

"Would he let her die just like this?"

"What if you were wrong. Mory? We seem to be rushing them!"

"Lil…Some people needs to see death in the face before they give up."

"Mory…..But the Twisted Pair has their stupid pride to think of."

"I am counting on this. If I am wrong, it would be a minor setback indeed. Nothing hurt but my pride." Morrigan shrugged.

^^Well…What say you? Chun-Chun? ^^ 'Ryu's arm was around her waist, his thumb unconsciously stroking her waist.

^^Three options.^^ like him she was still looking at the chasm.

^^Fight and die trying…HA!...What a way to go….But boring indeed.^^ 'Ryu' mumbled to her.

^^Jump. Not bad considering the third.^^ 'ChunLi' added

^^Gee that would be to submit. BAH! Even lousier odds.^^

^^Déjà vu huh.^^

^^Strange but true. It is one heck of a great time having you by my side all these years Li….^^

^^Well at least we are going together.^^

^^Give us a hug woman!^^ 'Ryu' sort of ordered her and roughly pulled her closer. Taking in the fragrance of her hair and softness of her skin, 'Ryu' sigh once more. He lifted her chin up and kissed her in a lingering manner.

^^Heh. Wanna die with me?^^ 'Ryu' asked raising his eyebrows again.

^^I would not have it any other way.^^ 'ChunLi' purred, breaking off their kiss and leapt on to his back.

"Oooff. Woman you need a diet! OOWW!!!!" he winced as she applied the pressure of her spike bracelets on his chest, drawing blood again.

"Ah well…No regrets?" 'ChunLi' asked, patting his face.

"With you? Not at all. Shall we go?" a grin on his face.

"Onwards!!!!" 'ChunLi' smiled and kissed his ear.

"What are you trying to do!! Are you crazy?!!! Think about your children!!!" Morrigan sounded worried.

As if emphasising her question, Ryu took a few steps backwards.

"NNNOOOO!!!!!!! GET THEM!!!" she screamed.

"FOR THE HONOUR AND GLORY THE BOTH OF US!!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!" The Twisted Pair shouted. With a twisted smile on their lips, 'Ryu' ran forward with 'ChunLi'. Leaping of the cliff into the darkness that was waiting to swallow them……….
