Untitled Ch. 14

Chun-li got out of her car and walked up the stone steps. She walked very slowly as she took in the front yard. The big oak tree was still there. In fact, it looked to be bigger then it was before she left. The lone swing hanging on the lowest branch was going back and forth due to the breeze. She got to the door and took out her old house keys. She opened the locks and slowly stepped in side. *Looks exactly the same as it did ten years ago* she said to herself taking in the familiar sight. Every since her father died…she was told that Interpole brought the land and used the house sort of like a memorial. A maid would come in once a mouth and dust and check up on things. Interpole also gave Chun-li the right to go there any time she wanted.

Chun-li slowly went to the 2nd floor. The old steps creaked under her weight. She stopped in front of her old room and stepped inside. There were 7 stuffed animals on the flower print bed. She smiled a sad smile. She remembered she had left the here to add *atmosphere* to the room. Chun-li walked over to the stuffed sky blue bunny and picked it up off the bed. "Mr. Floppy", she said barely above a whisper. A lone tear fell out of her eye. She let her child hood memories wash over her. She had been so carefree…so innocent…happy…but her happiness was striped away by that b*st*rd dressed in a red military suit. She blinked several times then shook her head. Now was not the time. She put the bunny back on the bed and headed to hr mothers room.

She took a deep breath and turned the doorknob to her mother's room. The room had various paintings hanging around and on stands. Her mother's paintings. Her father told her that her mother loved to paint. Her paintings were so unique and alive. The wee indeed extraordinary. The room smelled like strawberries. More tears fell from Chun-li's eyes. She made no move to wipe them away. Chun-li looked around the room with her eyes till she found what she was looking for. The tall dresser was sitting in the corner facing her. She walked up to it and pulled out the key. She pushed it in the hole a paused before turning it. A soft *click* sound echoed through the room as she opened the doors.

Her eyes widen as the swords stood there vertically in a glass case. The swords came up to her waist. The blades shined and reflected the sunlight that came through the window. The handles were a royal blue with white diamonds on them. On the butt of each sword several strings dangled. (Much like the top of a graduation hat) which was also a royal blue. They were simply marvelous. She stood there in awe at the twin swords. She reached out with shaky hands and opened the glass case like doors and carefully took them out. They were even more beautiful up close. After coming out of her revere she took out a blanket like cloth and wrapped the swords in them. She closed the dresser and locked it back and made her way back to Master Gen's dojo………….
