Untitled Prologue Reunion
By Mayvarik
Thunder sounded in the distance bringing an evil smile to the man's lips. He
watched almost in rapture as the ominous dark clouds floated quickly towards
him. Lighting flashed and forked dangerously within its dark mass. The man
closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. He could smell the moisture in the air and also
the intensity and raw power of the storm. Glancing up at his airship floating
above him, the cloaked man wondered if it could survive the fury of the
approaching storm. Maybe he should find out. The man chuckled lightly to
himself, before he heard an angry voice beneath him call out his name.
'Bison! Where the hell do you think you're going?'
Bison smiled happily as he looked down on his former opponent. The young
woman was dressed in a blue body hugging jump-suit, her hair tied back into two
buns on either side of her head. The yellow hair ribbons that tied them in
place lashed out furiously behind her from the wind created by his airship
above. She has really turned out rather well, Bison thought to himself, as he
continued to look down on the inspector. He could see her mother's spirit in
her eyes.
'Come back and fight, you coward!'
Bison laughed maniacally at the last comment while he continued to hover
above the Chinese beauty. 'Such anger in such a beautiful woman.' He announced
mockingly. And then proceeded to laugh as he watched the inspectors deep brown
eyes suddenly narrow menacingly in indignation. 'Such anger does not befit one
of your beauty, Chun li.'
'Shut up you murderer! I'll kill you if it's the last thing I do. You'll not
escape me this time.'
'Chun li. You surprise me.' Bison stated candidly, as he continued to hover
above her and made a show of rubbing lightly at his sore jaw. 'Next time I'll
have to use both hands.' Bison grinned before he broke out into laughter as he
saw the young girl slightly flinch at his comment. 'But unfortunately,' Bison
continued, sighing intentionally. 'I no longer have time for these petty
games.'
'Where do you think you're going?' Chun li interrupted as she again yelled
up at the man high above her, while she quickly calculated the distance between
them in her head. About fifty meters, she thought to herself. It's too far. But
I have no other choice. Either he dies now, or I'll die trying. The young woman
stood ready as began to pull her power. You'll not escape me this time Bison.
Father, today is the day. Today is the day that I will avenge your death. Bison
smiled as he sensed Chun li begin to pull her power. Such a young foolish
child, Bison thought to himself. To caught up in her anger to think straight.
This could prove most beneficial. Bison grinned as he spoke. 'Do not worry
child, we will meet again.' Bison stated candidly. 'I hope you'll amuse me then
more than your Father did.' Bison laughed but loudly before he closed his eyes.
Now child lets see if you're ready to truly accept your heritage, and who you
really are.
Chun li gasped. She couldn't believe her ears. 'Father,' she repeated
quietly to herself. 'Bison. It was you,' she accused angrily. 'You killed… You
killed my Father!' Bison's laughed echoed slowly down towards her as his
answer. Chun li could feel the rage burning through out her body. Her blood was
boiling, and her skin felt as if it was going to melt off her frame if she
didn't calm down. There would be no next time, this was it. One of them was
going to die. Bison or herself, either way she would be free. Chun li attempted
to focus her rage, as she tried desperately to stem it into her already
gathered chi but it was unresponsive.
Rage cannot be controlled my daughter it can only be directed. This is the
greatest secret and weakness of… Chun li shook the memory of her long forgotten
mentor out of her head, as she glared up at Bison and used him as her focus.
Power seemed to explode from within her body, as something within her mind
shifted. Her senses suddenly became more acute, and her nose was heavily hit by
the scent of the approaching storm. Bison she saw was still floating above her.
His eyes were closed. This was it. She didn't hesitate. She released her hold
on her accumulated power, and felt her body start to fade into unreality. As
she unconsciously flowed into her technique.
'HAZAN TENSHOU KYAKU'
Bison teleported as soon as the first syllable had escaped out of Chun li's
mouth, and watched in amusement as Chun li flew past him covered in a pure
light blue flame to impact into his airship high above. Bison watched
dejectedly as his airship started to fall from the sky. Small explosions
erupting from every facet of the ship infrastructure. Bison laughed happily, as
he teleported to the ground below to wait for the Chinese warrior's return. He
had won. The last piece of the game was now undisclosed. So what if it had
caused the death of thirty of his best men in the process. The goal was all
that mattered, and his main goal had just been achieved. A lot earlier than
expected. Bison happily laughed to himself as he looked up into the darkened
sky to watch Chun li as she floated down towards him, still encased in the
hellish blue fire that marked her heritage so clearly. As her feet touched the
ground, Chun li's head snapped upright as she glared angrily at Bison. Before
her expression softened, and she spoke.
'Hello Father.'
