Bad Dreams Ch. 11

As Ken and Guile double-teamed Ryu Chun Li tried to get to her feet. She braced herself against the ground and gained her feet. She observed the battle and her heart sank. Guile was fighting hard, but Ken was obviously doing more talking than fighting. She winced as Guile took a hard shot to the jaw and stumbled back. Ryu turned his attention to Ken and Chun Li decided it was time she rejoined the fray.

Ryu turned to Bison. This Bison was talking to him, saying things he couldn't understand, but his words didn't sound hostile. Ryu waited for a few moments and the words seemed to clarify.

"..I...friend...your friend...Ryu."

But that wasn't right! Bison wasn't his friend! Bison was an enemy! He had to take Bison down.

Ryu lunged forward and Ken barely had time to grab his wrist before the blow connected. Ken put his foot in Ryu's stomach and flipped him over backwards, continually flipping him as they rolleed and pounding him into the ground. Ryu was eventually released and flew a few yards away, crashing through a wooden post and landing in the grass to the left of the staircase.

Ryu's mind worked slowly. He knew that throw. He knew somone who used that throw...if he could just think...

Guile nailed the distracted Ryu with a spinning backfist and then took him off his feet with a double leg sweep. Guile then gathered his chi and released it point-blank at the grounded Ryu in the form of a Sonic Boom.

An inhuman scream echoed through Guile's ears as a maddened Ryu tore into him with a Dragon Punch.

Guile landed hard and hit his head on a stone. The world went dark for him.

All sense of thinking ended for Ryu as he launched a Shakunetsu Hadouken at Guyile's prone body. It slammed into him and scorched him awake. Guile rolled as soon as he realized he was on fire and shook his head, trying to clear it. Ken jumped off the stairwaell and rolled over the grass toward Ryu who was glaring at Guile. Ken came out of his roll and immediately spun skyward in a pillar of Fire.

"SHINRYUKEN!!"

Ryu screamed as he was bombarded with fists and flame and landed hard on his back. Ken landed soon after and sighed as Ryu remained motionless. Ken was about to check on Guile when Ryu sat up and stared at him in cold hatred.

Ken's heart skipped a beat. No person had ever got back up from his Shinryuken before. It was only surpassed by the Shin Shoryuken and the Shun Goku Satsu. Ken was weakened. That technique took a lot out of him.

~What the h*ll can I do now?~

Ryu seemed to rise in slow motion and began walking over to Ken slowly. Ken ever the agressor attacked with a hard roundhouse that was blocked and Ryu retaliated with a jarring Hurricane Kick that sent Ken crashing into Guile once more.

The two were slow to get up and Ryu took advantage by gathering chi for an attack that would take them both out.

"...shinkuu..."

Ryu gathered chji in his palms and prepared to launch the enormous Shinku Hadouken at the two until a loud voice called out,

"SENRETSUKYAKU!!"

Ryu took the full force of Chun Li's powerful attack in the back and pitched onto the ground. Chun Li wiped sweat from her brow and prepared herself for whatever came next. Then he was gone.

Chun Li blinked rapidly and a hand spun her around into a hard backhand that rattled her brains. She stumbled back

~How the h*ll did that happen??!!~

Ryu then hook kicked her in the head, flinging her to the side. Chun Li cursed angrily as she got back up. Things weren't going well. Her team mates were grounded, she was beginning to think she was outmatched, and he was messing up her hair!

Chun Li flipped up on her hands on spun into Ryu with her Spinning Bird Kick. She grinned to herself as she felt her feet connect solidly several times. She flipped back to her feet and saw Ryu reeling finally and ducked down.

"Hazan..."

"TENSHO KYAKU!!"

And she crashed into him with her enhanced Spinning Air Kick. Ryu impossibly twisted as he came down and landed on his feet and one hand, with his other cocked and waiting for her.

"RAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!" He roared as he slashed into her with his Dragion Punch.

Ryu stumbled as he fell. He was hurt. Blood was gumming an eye shut and he had two broken ribs thretening to puncture a lung. But he was winning and he's be d*mned if he's let Bison beat him.

Ken rose shakily to his feet and his vision blurred instantly. He saw a form stumble at him and thought it was Guile, until he heard a hoarse scream.

Right Sliding Elbow...

Let the chi flow.

Left Hook...

Let the chi flow.

Right Uppercut...

Let the chi flow.

Ken screamed in agony. He felt the three initial hits of the Shin Shoryuken and dreaded what would come. This technique could kill and he was sure that was what Ryu intended. He felt the chi scorch him and watched as Ryu braced himself to deliver the final Dragon Punch, but it never came.

Ken and Ryu fell down and as Ken slipped into unconsciousness he saw Chun Li standing with the remains of a rather large shattered stone over Ryu.
