Bad Dreams Ch. 12

Ryu regained consciousness, but didn't move. He didn't open his eyes and he kept his breathing at it's current slow pace. His head hurt and he felt something tight constricting him. He tried to move his arms, but they were strapped down. He tried to move his legs, but they were tied down too. He opened one eyelid and looked around. He was in a very small room with metal walls. He was lying on some sort of stretcher, or bed and he was strapped down to it.

There was an opening in one wall and outside of it he could see three people. But as he looked harder their features and clothing became distorted and altered. The fatigues, red gi, and the blue wushu outfit all changed into red uniforms with long black cloaks. The faces all altered themselves and turned into wide grins. He watched as eyes turned into white orbs.

He felt a rage build up inside and drew in breath for a shout, but instead he remained silent and tried to manuever his hands near one of the heavy leather straps that held him captive. He managed to yank his hand over to his waist strap and grasped it. He focused his chi and concentrated.

"I can't believe you hit him with a boulder. You busted his head open." Ken yelled at Chun Li.

She grabbed his red gi top and yanked him down to her face level and said, "Yeah and you'd be nothing more than a bloody smear on your friend's knuckles."

Then she shoved him away and put her hand to her head. She was hurt. Her cranium had been used like a baseball and it hurt like h*ll, as did the rest of her. She just wanted to curl up and sleep in a corner, but she couldn't show weakness. Not in front of anyone.

"I guess you're right, but what I don't understand is what the h*ll happened. Ryu would never do that to the dojo and certainly never attack his friends." Ken said with concern.

Guile cleared his throat and spoke, "Isn't it obvious? Ryu has gone completely insane. He thinks everyone is Bison."

"But what if he's under Bison's control somehow?" Ken argued.

"I don't think so. When you were..."

"SNAP!!"

They all turned their heads and saw a white blur hurtling at them screaming,

"BISON!!"
