For the Fight Ch. 10

Chun Li got out of the elevator and walked down the hall. She probably spent mor time on this floor than any other. It was her personal favorite and her reason for working in this specific Interpol office. The gym had it all. It was state of the art and highly technological. Her personal favorite part was the sparring arena in the back room at the rear of the gym.

She was puzzled. There was usually a loud roar of voices coming from the open doors, but now it was silent. She walked into the gym and slid her keycard through the identification device on the side of the wall. She looked up and dropped her bag. It was empty! The gym was never empty at this time of day. Agents had to work out in here as part of their daily schedule.

Chun Li shrugged to herself and picked up her gymbag, heading for the women's locker room.

Chun Li found this room nearly empty as well, except for her friend Cynthia.

"Hey Cyn, where is everyone?" Chun Li asked as she changed into her blue jumpsuit.

Her friend looked up and smiled. "Well, they're all in the Sparring Arena. There's this guy in there dressed like the Karate Kid and he's taking on allcomers."

"So, why are they 'all' in there?" she asked as she slipped on a sneaker.

Her friend cocked her head to the side and said, "Well, he does some real wierd crap and that guy the chief hired...um Chin, well he's holding bets."

Chun Li smiled, "I bet the chief isn't going to be too happy about the bets."

Her friend sighed, "Well you know how those guns for hire are. They have no comprihension of rules."

Chun Li laced up her last shoe and said, I guess I'll go check him out."

"You'll have to wait behind all the other girls." Cynthia replied with a grin.

"That bad, huh?" Chun Li asked.

"That bad."

Chun Li stuffed her bag into the locker and headed out into the gym. It was still empty, but a feint moan could be heard from the back door along with several excited shouts. Chun Li jogged past the equipment and slid her card into another identification device before entering the Sparring Arena.

Chun Li walked down the short dark hallway and stopped as she met the four "Sparring Bots". They were all dented and the sign on one of their heads read:

Out of Order.

Chun Li shook her head and pushed open a black door to the sound of more shouting.
