Outside the conference room where Chun Li was talking to the commisioner Chin waited with Ryu.

"Well Ryu, after the beating you gave my boys there is only one thing that will make them feel better." Chin said to the silent Ryu.

"And here it is." Chin had a huge grin on his face as he pulled out the wad of cash he earned from the fights.

"And I couldn't have done it without you." Chin maked a sniffle and said, "Thanks."

Ryu remained quiet and Chin continued.

"Did you see the look on their faces when you lit her up like that? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Their eyes bulged!"

"Yes, she was a good challenge." Ryu spoke for the first time since the fight had ended.

"Hey you okay?" Chin asked in concern as he pulled his cigar from his mouth.

"Yes, I just like to reflect after a fight." Ryu assured him.

"Yeah, me an' the boys to that too, but our reflecting usually includes loud music and a beer." he said as he laughed again.

"I hope I didn't get her in any trouble." Ryu said absently as he looked at the closed door.

"NAAH, I know her pretty good. She's a tough cookie, she's probably just p*ssed she lost to ya'."

"What the h*ll were you thinking?" he said in disbelief.

"You know I don't condone betting of any kind on the grounds, yet you not only participated, but got into a fight!" he said as he rubbed his face in agitation.

"I apologize and it won't happen again...after I beat him." she said quietly.

"Oh no. I know that you take great pride in your fighting skills, but this is not going to happen."

"What if it was controlled, so that there was no damage to Interpol property, or anyone really getting hurt?" she asked.

"No chance. This is the guy that put that huge scar on Sagat and killed Bison himself. There is no way I'm going to let you fight him again. Your father would kill me."

"What? Bison...Sagat?"

"Yes, that was Ryu, the man Guile told us about. He was the one who supposedly killed him."

"Well we're not too sure about that. We've been getting reports that he has reformed Shadowloo..."

"It doesn't matter!! Besides, you were told that today you would meet the fighter that we would put into this new World Warrior tournament."

"Yes I know." Chun Li said, trying to figure out what was going on.

"Well, you just did. Ryu is the guy."

"What!!??" she screamed. "I'm not working with him. He..."

"Is rumored to be the best fighter in the world. And as such he is our best chance at infiltrating the tournament again."

"Now bring him in."
