For the Fight Ch. 15
By RC

The door opened and Ryu caught a glimpse of a very ticked off Chun Li, right before she turned away. She walked back to a seat in front of the Commissioner's desk and folded her arms.

The commissioner glared at her, but she glared right back.

He sighed and said, "Ryu, please come in."

Then as an after thought, "You too Chin."

The two walked in and Chin took the only other chair, leaving Ryu to stand.

"Don't go too hard on her boss. After all, she was getting some serious peer pressure from..."

"Shut up Chin." the Commissioner interupted.

"She knows what she did was wrong. Unlike you she has a good record. How often do I have to tell you not to set up fights? I'm really getting tired of this Chin. I pay you well, I put up with your team's antics, the swearing, bear guzzling, and the harrassment of other employees, but setting up my agents against one as powerful as Ryu was a stupid thing to do."

"I apologize Sir, it will never happen again." he said sincerely.

Ryu happened to notice that Chin's fingers were crossed.

"I'll bet." the Commissioner said to himself.

"That is all."

Chin got up to leave and said, "Good luck pal."

Ryu nodded and after a gesture from the Commissioner he sat down.

"Alright Ryu, are you prepared to accept what I have proposed to you?"

"Yes." Ryu said.

"If you can get me into the tournament, I'll work with you."

"We have not had the time to properly acess the situation, but we have agreed that someone needs to be sent to gather information on the tournament as well as investigate the rumors of Shadowloo being behind it."

He pointed at Chun Li. "Miss Xiang is our best investigator and has dealt with Shadowloo before. Unfortunately Shadowloo knows who she is. We know Bison knows her because he sent the assassin Vega after her. We never recovered a body, yet we are certain Vega is dead. Minor alterations will be done to Chun Li's appearance to make sure she will not be reconized by any possible Shadowloo agents. She will handle and and all dealings with tournament officials and will pose as your sponser for the tournament. I will have other agents on the case as well, but the brunt of this investigation lies with Chun Li. If we are sure that Shadowloo is behind the tournament then I will send a larger force in to help you. We must be careful though, I have heard reports that Shadowloo's numbers are swelling and that they have access to weapons capable of mass destruction. You must progress in the tournament to give us enough time to investigate thouroughly. If you are attacked in any way Miss Xiang is quite capable of protecting you from harm. I know the two of you did not start out on the right foor, but I am sure things will improve."

He said the last part looking directly at Chun Li, who Ryu noticed had a very hostile look on her face.

"Where?" Ryu asked.

"The United States. Right outside New York City, but the site is subject to change."

The Commissioner sighed again and slowly got to his feet.

"Chun Li will take care of your sleeping arangements for tonight. Tomorrow the two of you will recieve money, supplies, and other eccentials for your mission. I am tired, it has been a long week for me and I would like to go see my wife. You are dissmissed."

Chun Li was out of her seat before Ryu could blink an eye and she slammed the door behind her.

"You'd better hurry up Ryu. She might leave you here. Oh, and please, do try to get along."

Ryu nodded and followed Chun Li's footsteps, picking up his bag on the way out.
