For the Fight Ch.39
By RC
Her eyes opened and she looked around. "Where the h*ll am I?" she
said out loud. She was in a rather large bedroom. She sat up and gasped in pain.
She looked down to find that she was shirtless and had a rather large bandage
on her upper chest. She vauguely remembered being shot and Ryu putting her into
the car after laying out the two women.
She slid out of the large bed and noticed she was only wearing a pair of
lounging pants she usually slept in and bra with a blood stains on it. She
located a suitcase and opened it. She found a shirt and changed quickly. She
padded over to the door and opened it slowly. She stepped into a hallway crept
down it until she came to the top of a staircase.
Chun Li walked lightly on the stairs, not wanting them to creak. She had no
idea where she was and didn't want to draw any unnecessary attention to
herself. She heard what sounded like wood snapping and hurried the rest of the
way down the stairs. She found herself in a very large kitchen with a big table
next to a set of french doors leading out to a deck. Chun Li silently exited
the kitchen and heard a cry.
"SHOOOOOORYUUUUUUKEN!!"
Chun Li dashed to the deck railing and came to an abrupt haly as a familiar
looking Japanese man fell from the sky and landed gracefully on his feet. Chun
Li flinched as several wooden boards fell around her. She looked up and saw
what she guessed was used to practice Dragon Punches.
It was constructed with two tall dragons used as pillars. On the dragon's
sides were slots which now held the fragments of shattered wooden boards. She
guessed a person stood betwween the two dragons and did a Dragon Punch. The
boards that were fastened in between the Dragons could the be broken with th
leaping uppercutt.
Chun Li saw Ryu had turned around and she smiled at him.
"Well, you'd better start explaining." she said.

Chun Li nodded and took a sip of her drink. Ryu had taken her inside and
explained to her the events that transpired after she had been shot.
Chun Li took another sip of her drink. She had told Ryu she needed something
to drink and Ryu had been able to find Ken's well stocked wine cellar. Chun Li
was glad Ryu had found it. She had really needed a drink. Her entire mission
had just gone straight to h*ll. She agreed that Ryu should continue in the
tournament. They had to salvage what they could of this mission.
No, Chun Li would not back out of this mission. This was her purpose. This
was her goal. This is what she had longed for. She had to do this. And Ryu was
certainly willing. She knew he was itching for another shot at Gouki. Chun Li
would have to contact Interpol though, and she would probably have to deal with
her Boss who wouldn't be too pleased by the state of her mission.
Chun Li noticed that while she had been thinking Ryu had gotten a really
angry look on his face. "What's wrong?" she asked.
"Bison has a lot to answer for." he said
Chun Li nodded.
"He sure does." said a voice from behind Chun Li.
