For the Fight Ch.40

Ryu looked up and Chun Li whipped around. There stood Cammy White. Chun Li jumped to her feet and prepared to launch an assault on the blond woman. Ryu reacted first though, and grabbed Chun Li's arms.

"Ryu!! What are you doing?!? She works for Bison!!" Chun Li screamed at him.

Ryu tightened his grip on her and replied, "No she doesn't. Not anymore. She helped me get you here. She's free of Bison's control." Ryu stated calmly.

Chun Li relaxed and leaned back against Ryu. Her rush of adrenaline had been short lived and she felt weak. Ryu helped her over to a chair and sat her down. Chun Li closed her eyes and then opened them.

"How can you be sure?" she asked as she glared hard at him.

Ryu's eyes got a far-away look in them and he said, "You know, I asked myself that question when Ken seemed to have finally broke away from Bison's control. I wasn't sure, but I had to believe. I just had to take the chance."

Chun Li stared at Cammy. The young woman had a blank look on her face. Chun Li wasn't sure if she could take Ryu's advice. Sure Ken had pulled out of it, but Ken had only been under Bison's control for a few weeks. Cammy had probably been under his control for the past five years. Chun Li wondered how Cammy had gotten away from the Interpol instalation she and Ryu had put her in. Chun Li noticed that Cammy was no longer wearing Bison's uniform. She was once again wearing her old MI6 outfit.

Cammy seemed to know Chun Li had noticed her change in outfits and a small smile spread across her face. It was the first sign of emotion Chun Li had seen from the girl except for the anger Cammy had shown back in Hong Kong when she had attacked Ryu and Chun Li. Cammy's smile lit up her eyes and she spoke.

"A couple of me old mates called while I was at that psychiatric hospital. I'm not real sure how, but it made me remember a few things. I returned to Bison and told him I had escaped. I've been playing along until I spoke to Ryu in..."

Another small smile crossed her face.

"...Victoria's Secret. I had recieved orders to go to your hotel Room with a unit of my clones, but I used some of Bison's own Psycho Power against them. I used what was left in my mind of his Power to execute a souped up Cannon Drill."

Cammy laughed again.

"They never knew what hit em'."

Cammy laughed again and said, "I never did like those clones anyway. Always using words like affirmative and negative, and that stupid designate garbage. You have no idea how annoying it is to be called Designate Cammy for five years straight. It really gets under your skin."

Chun Li laughed at that and Cammy did as well. Ryu wondered what was so funny. The two continued to laugh. Ryu was about to smile as well, but he heard it. The squeal of tires. Ryu wasn't sure if it was Bison or not, but he wasn't taking a chance. He grabbed the two woman and signaled them to be quiet. They could hear someone walking to the front door. Ryu motioned and they all crept to the foyer and waited.

Ryu hid behing a tall vase to the right of the door and Cammy stood to the left where the door would open inward, so she wouldn't be seen. Chun Li stood in the shadows of the staircase. They could hear voices and someone tried the handle. The door was unlocked and swung open easily. Ryu pointed at Chun Li. He did a spining motion with his fingers and then thrusted one finger straight down.

Chun Li realized he wanted her to do her axe kick. Chun Li waited until the man was swinging the door open and then jumped at the man. She somersaulted in the air and brought her left leg down in a punishing axe kick that used the momentumn of her flip to hit even harder. The man's head snapped down and he cried out in surprise and pain. Cammy dashed from behind the door and stood to his left. Ryu vaulted over the vase and positioned himself to the man's right. Ryu clenched his fist and it burst into light.

Cammy took the hint and crouched down slightly. Ryu's eyes crackled with power and Cammy's eyes flashed yellow. Both aimed for the man's chin.

"CANNON SPIKE!!"

"SHORYUKEN!!"
