“Heh!” the fighter grinned as he flashed his teeth.

“Jaguar Kick!” Adon screams as he flipped his body around and brought his leg down strong.

“Ho-ya!” Sodom yells as he pushes off his right leg and dashes along the floor while bringing up his sai to counter Adon’s kick.

“Ha! Jaguar tooth!” Adon flips and bouncing off the wall, he kicks Sodom squarely in the chest, forcing the larger man to fall down.

“Ha! Hya hya hya hya!” Sodom grunts as he uses his sais to drag himself along the floor, striking Adon at the same time.

“Hoya!” Sodom yells as he grabs the stunned Adon and powerbombs him from ten feet in the air.

“It’s over! Ha ha ha!” Sodom laughs as he bows in mock respect.

“Not yet…Jaguar Assault!” Adon yells as he pushes elbows into Sodom’s face and repeatedly, finally ending by striking Sodom into the air and bringing his elbow and knee straight into Sodom’s head.

“OUAGGH!” Sodom yells as he falls to the floor with a sickening thud. Without another word, Adon gathers up all his energy and flips three consecutive times, high in the air, hitting Sodom over and over again.

“WINNER BY KNOCKOUT! ADON!” The announcer yells.

The crowd yells and claps in applause. Adon bows, smiles, and takes off his headband while thrusting it high in the air. Men with a stretcher run and take Sodom off the battle arena.

“The next match! Edmond Honda against Dee Jay!”

Honda takes salt and does a very quick performance of preparation for a sumo match. Dee Jay just sits and listens to the music. Both fighters stand up and prepare to fight.

“Hoo ya!” DJ yells as he starts the match with two backward thrust kicks.

“Huh!” Honda grunts as he absorbs the kick. He blocks the second and retaliates with a Super Zutsuki, launching his whole body at DJ.

“What is this strange voodoo that you do, mon? Ooof!” he says as he is hit with the full blow. Honda then jumps high in the air, performs a flip and lands on both feet.

“Hya!” DJ yells as he throws a quick projectile at Honda. Honda absorbs the blow but continues and runs straight for DJ, hitting him with his hands. He moves them so fast that they are a blur and DJ unaware of how to defend against such a quick attack, is hit with all the blows and stumbles backward

“Ugh…how is it that you so fast mon? You faster than you look,” DJ asks.

“I have not become the Rishiki by being slow and lazy. It takes years of training to develop this body, made mainly of muscles. Now, this match…is over!” Honda says as he grabs DJ, slams him to the floor and jumps high in the air, landing on DJ.

“NOOOOOOOOO!” DJ is lifted away on a stretcher and given immediate medical attention.

“THE MATCH IS OVER! HONDA WINS BY KNOCKOUT!”

Once again, the audience cheers loudly and Honda smiles as he lifts his hands in triumph.

“Hey, Fei’s next right? Let’s cheer for him,” Ken reminds the others.

“The next match, Fei-Long vs. Cammy White!”

“er…vs. Cammy White!…Ms. White!?”

Fei-Long waits patiently for ten minutes.

“If the opponent will not show in the next minute, then Fei-Long will be declared victor of this match…”

“……”

“Cammy White is disqualified! Fei-Long wins by default! Today’s fights are over, report back to the dormitories!”

“How disappointing…” Fei says.

“I wonder what happened?” Chun-li wonders as she walks back with Ken and Ryu.

“Help me! Please! They’re trying to kill me!” Chun-li turns around and see a young blonde woman with a scar on her chin and her hair in pigtails.

“Who’s after you?” Chun-li asks.

“Target sighted,” Juli speaks, indirectly answering the question. Juni comes up behind her.

“YOU! I saw you and these two attacking Gen-sama! Why should we help you!” Ken demanded.

“Please~~! Save me! I’ll explain everything later, if you will just help me!” the girl pleaded.

“Ken…now is not the time to hold grudges. Very well, we will help you, Ms…?” Ryu says.

“Cammy, Cammy White.”

Juli and Juni begin to reach into their shirt. Ken jumps and kicks Juli while Ryu does the same to Juni, knocking the guns out of their hands.

“Initiating battle sequence…”

“Ken! Looks like they’re serious! We’d better finish them now!” Ryu says.

Ken nods and he strikes Juli in the abdomen, afterwards, he punches her squarely on the chin, jumps up and uses a double fisted hammer hit to bring Juli to her knees. Ken then strikes her in the side of her head with his foot and she is knocked out immediately. Juni teleports behind Ryu and kicks him, spiraling her body into a drill. Ryu immediately turns around and rushes her, sliding at the very last moment. She falls and Ryu picks her up by the arm and throws her against the wall. He then strikes her repeatedly in the solar plexus and punches her in the chin. Her head is knocked against the wall and she too collapses.

“You mustn’t be seen with me, hurry! We must hide!” Cammy says as she drags the trio into a secluded room.

“Huff, puff…Thank you for saving my life even though there was trouble between us before that. Listen, I was brainwashed by Bison and then was subjected to brutal experimentations. I was made stronger but I lost my freewill and memory. It all came back to me when I was fighting the old man,” Cammy explains.

Flashback…

Gen jumps off a wall and attacks Juni. Juni is hit so hard that she swoons. Juli sneaks up from behind, though, and kicks Gen as hard as she can in the back of the head. Gen feels an irregularity in his heart again but he suppresses it using his chi. He then concentrates and musters his entire chi for one blow. He fakes and then strikes Cammy in the head and a slight snap is heard.

End Flashback…

“When I received that blow, it was as if a door had broken. Not only did I receive my freewill but my memories. Bison is pure evil! He killed my parents, he experimented on me, he forced me to kill others…That is why I have devoted my life to killing him,” Cammy resolved.

“Sifu…” Chun-li whispers.

“Oh, before I forget, I owe the old man my life. So after I kill Bison, I’m going to find him again,” Cammy tells them.

“WAIT! Find him AGAIN!? He’s still alive!?” Chun-li asks hysterically, grabbing Cammy by the shoulders and shaking her.

“Yes! I met him once before I had to run away from those two mindless slaves of Bison. He rescued me and told me, ‘Tell my stupid pupil not to live a life avenging me in anger. If I catch him doing something stupid, he’ll wish he’d never been born,’ and that’s it,” Cammy concludes.

“How do we know you’re telling the truth?” Chun-li asks suspiciously.

“She has no reason to lie, Chun-li. I believe her,” Ryu states.

“Sifu…” Chun-li says, with small tears forming in her eyes.

“I told you that he was alive! Now, let’s go tell Fei the good news!” Ryu tells her. “As for you, don’t worry. We’ll protect you, right Ken?”

“Of course! I never leave a good person in need! You can stay with us,” Ken assures her.

“wow…thank you all so much…why are you so nice to me after everything?” Cammy asks.

“Hey! We don’t desert people in need, right Chun-li?” Ryu asks her.

“Yea…let’s go find Fei now!”

The trio leave and Cammy heads for Chun-li’s room.

“Fei! Fei! Listen, Gen isn’t dead!” Ryu says as he runs to Fei.

*WHAM!* A large bruise forms on top of Ryu’s eye.

“You have no right to say that name! You DARE to say that name after you left him for dead!?” Fei accuses.

“But, he’s alive!”

“How do you know?”

“One of the girls who attacked us told us,” Ryu explains.

*BAM!* Ryu receives another bruise.

“Fei! Stop hurting him!” Chun-li tells him.

“I’ll not allow him to make me believe in a false hope! Ryu, YOU CRUEL B*****D! DIE!!!” Fei yells as he unleashes a rekkaken on Ryu, smashing into his chest. He then kicks him in the stomach, finally knocking him down with a spinning roundhouse.

“Ugh…Fei! Snap out of it!” Ryu yells.

Fei kicks him over and over and then he flips over him and uses his Shien-kyaku.

“Ryu! You have to fight back! When he’s like this, he won’t listen to reason!” Chun-li shouts at him.

Fei-Long is about to perform a fatal dragon kick when he’s tripped from behind. Fei instantly retaliates and attacks back but the man is gone. Behind him, the man delivers a rising senpuu-kyaku and then jumps into the air and uses the izuna-otoshi, smashing Fei to the ground with a suplex. Fei is unconscious and the others finally see who saved Ryu. A Japanese man dressed in red and white, with the letters Bushin (Fighting master) written on it.

“Korezo…Bushin-Ryu!” The man says.

“Ugh…thank you for saving me…What is your name?” Ryu asks.

“I am Guy, successor of the Bushin-ryu (style of the war god),” he says.

“I’ve heard of you…you’re of the Bushin ninja clan and you especially are renowned for your fighting skills. Didn’t you help save Metro City?” Ken asks.

“Yes…but that was a long time ago…” Guy answers.

“Anyway, thank you for saving Ryu. Fei went berserk, I’ve never seen him act like that his whole life,” Chun-li says.

“No problem, though, it was my duty as a Bushin to help those in need. But…why didn’t you fight back?” Guy asks.

“It’s a long story…let’s meet at dinner and talk, ok?” Ryu suggests.

“Sure, it’s always a pleasure making new friends,” Guy replies. With that, Guy runs off quickly and disappears from sight.

“Ryu, are you ok?” Chun-li asks.

“I’m fine…uhhhhh,” Ryu passes out from the injuries.

“I’d better take him back to our room to rest. Ken, we’ll meet you in an hour at the dining hall,” Chun-li says, carrying Ryu piggyback.

“Ok,” Ken answers. *Wow, I guess she CAN be nice…*

Room 210

“Oof. Ryu sure is heavier than he looks,” Chun-li says, propping him on the bed.

“Huh? Where am I? Chun?” Ryu weakly asks.

“We’re in our room, don’t you remember what just happened?” she asks.

“Oh yea…poor Fei. I suppose that if someone told me my sensei had come back to life from the dead, I would be insulted too. After all, he was the only father I knew…” Ryu shakes his nod and clenches his fist as he remembers the incident.

“What do you mean?” Chun-li asks.

“It’s a long story…”

“We’ve got time,” Chun-li responds.

“Sigh…I guess you’re not gonna let me go on this, right?” Chun-li simply nods.

“Well, this is what happened. I was an orphan abandoned into the care of a kindly warrior monk known as Gouken. I know nothing of my real parents but it didn’t matter. Sensei raised me as his own, since he had taken a vow of celibacy. He taught me in the arts of Shotokan karate and he taught me a great deal. Then one day…” Ryu goes on to narrate the incident where his master died.

“…and that’s what happened,” Ryu finally states, hardening his voice, suppressing his emotions.

“Oh…I never knew…” Chun-li said.

“Hey! Are we going to get something to eat or what!” Ken says bursting in the room.

“Um…why are you guys so morose? It’s time to eat! I’ll save you guys a spot, hurry up!” Ken says as he runs out of the room.

“Yea…well, there’s basically what happened. Well, let’s get something to eat! I’m famished!” Ryu says cheerfully.

*Ryu…maybe you might understand me because I understand you…*

“Li-Chun san! Hurry up! Let’s eat!” Ryu says.

“Oh, ok. Sure, let’s get something to eat, Ryu,” Chun-li says.

*Gurgle*

“What the!?”

“Um…can you guys bring something to eat?” Cammy asks.

“Oh, of course! Sorry, I forgot all about you! …How long have you been there?” Ryu asks.

“Since you guys first came in the room,” she replied, “It’s ok, Ryu. I know how it feels to have no parents.”

“Thank you, I’m glad somebody understands,” Ryu says, slight comforted.
