Making up:
' I can't believe he managed to lie to me for all these years! And I was a detective at Interpol, how couldn't I have seen the signs? The hesitant answers, averting his eyes, the change of subjects. How could I not see that?' Chun-li sat in her bedroom sulking over her husband's latest crime.
'Why are you so mad? So, he said that Liu wasn't his cousin, big deal?'
'It's not that, it's that he lied. It's that he thought he couldn't tell me the truth, that he couldn't trust me.' Chun-li was having an inner conflict between her stubbornness and her conscience, trying to decide if she was being a little hard on Ryu or a little soft.
' If it had been Ling, you'd have done the same thing.'
' I wouldn't have lied.'
'But you know you wouldn't tell him where she is, now tell me who isn't trusting whom?'
Chun-li bit her bottom lip to keep it from trembling. Her conscience was right. How could she have been so unsympathetic toward Ryu? His brother's life was on the line and she had acted like a total bitch. Chun-li put her hand in her hands and cried.
'Ryu will never forgive me!' she cried in her mind.

Ryu stared up at the ceiling. He was so tired but he couldn't sleep without Chun-li. He groaned and pressed the heels of his hands into his eyes. This always happened when he was away from Chun-li. He wasn't comfortable unless she was around, she emanated comfort. He turned on his side, and turned on the TV.
' Oh no, the late movie. These are always bad.' Ryu groaned again as he thought. Before he could get pulled into the awful plot of the mid eighties movie, he turned off the TV quickly, got up and went to the kitchen. He was hungry.
Chun-li was walking down stairs when she noticed the kitchen light on. Acting briskly, she walked silently to the kitchen door. She stopped for a moment to listen; she heard rustling and the sound of drawers opening. ' Oh no you don't.' with that thought she busted into the kitchen, kicking the man with his back turned to her. Falling on his face, the man immediately tried get up but Chun-li jumped on his back.
' Where is Ryu?' she thought bitterly. ' I know he must have heard the noises in the kitchen, he is a light sleeper. I'm surprised he wasn't the first one in here! He is so la...' the man broke her train of thought when he tried to say something. Chun-li stepped on his head before he could get a word out. ' Why doesn't he have a shirt or shoes on if he is planning to rob us? No thief would run in a house, prepared to steal with no shoes on.' She looked down at the man curiously. ' Aiyah!!! This is Ryu!' Chun-li quickly jumped off a very irritated Ryu's back.
" I'm soooo sorry sweetie. Are you alright?" Her eyes full of concern and innocence, least he get mad at her.
" Yes, I'm fine. Didn't you realize I wasn't on the couch?" he grumbled.
"No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." Chun-li looked at Ryu with big innocent eyes.
He glared at her.
She batted her eyes.
"I guess it could be forgiven since you didn't notice I was missing." For some reason this made Ryu feel uneasy. " So why did you come down here, hungry?"
" No... I had to tell you something, I mean I have to tell you something" Chun-li's cheeks glow red as she looked at her feet with her hands folded behind her back. Like Sakura. " I'm sorry, I was wrong for acting so insensitive. It wasn't your fault, you had to lie to save your brother's life."
Ryu stepped forward; he lifted her face up to him with his finger on her chin. She was looking down, avoiding his eyes. He smiled at her and cupped her face. " Chun-li, I should have told you. You shouldn't be apologizing; you have a right to be mad. I'm sorry."
Chun-li smiled slightly, Ryu hated when she was mad or sad because of him. He would do anything to set things straight, even apologize when he was right. " You sure?" she risked a quick glance at him before looking down again.
He grinned at her; she could be so cute. " Yes I'm sure."
She smiled and looked up. " How bout we both be wrong?"
Ryu mulled over this idea for a while, his brow furrowed slightly as he thought. " OK, that could work." He said reluctantly, the quickly added; " I still don't have to sleep down here do I?"
" No, I think you've learned your lesson. Let's go upstairs."
" Yea, you missed me didn't you?" Ryu smirked.
" Don't push it." Chun-li took his hand and lead him out of the kitchen as he grinned devilishly behind her back.
