Names:
Everyone sat in the spacious penthouse living room. They all decided that it would be the best place to make a plan, because everyone could fit. They all marveled at the size of the penthouse, jealous that they didn't get it first.
On the table in front of them was a map. On the map were little red dots. Each dot symbolized city which Bison had "graced".
"Okay people, so far Bison has been to seven cities besides Shadowlaw. We have only just come to China and have just started to form a plan. Does that sound awkward to you? We are very behind, if we want to catch Bison we need to go directly to him." Charlie explained to the group. "I was thinking we go straight to Taiwan and surprise attack him there."
"Umm, excuse me, but wouldn't he be expecting that?" Cammy, the only other person who's been in the military besides Charlie, questioned.
"Yes... it seems your right." Charlie frowned at the fact of being wrong. "How do you suppose we tackle that problem?" he asked, thinking Cammy wouldn't know the answer to that.
"Well we could go to Japan and sail to Taiwan."
"Why can't we just fly?"
"Because, he probably has the skies monitored."
"And what makes you think he doesn't have the waters monitored too? And why the hell would we go to Japan?" Charlie exclaimed, still trying to prove his plan was best.
"Because he wouldn't be expecting it, you bloody idiot." Cammy, slightly irritated tried to calm herself down.
"Fine, so how do we get from Japan to Taiwan?" Charlie smiled smugly; assuming Cammy wouldn't give him an answer.
"We could go by stealth submarine." She suggested.
Everyone agreed, to the dismay of Charlie.
"Yea I was gonna say that." Charlie said.
"Uh-huh, sure you were." Cammy crossed her arms.
"So when do we leave China?" asked Liu.
"Umm, in about a week, is that good for everyone?" Cammy called out.
Everyone nodded.
Sakura stood outside the penthouse door. 'You've only got one chance to do this Sakura. Do it now.' She held up her hand and knocked on the door.
Eliza got up from the couch and headed toward the door. "Oh, hi Sakura. How are you?" she asked smiling.
"I'm fine." Sakura looked over Eliza's shoulder. "Umm, is Chun-li here?"
"No, she went somewhere with Ryu." Eliza answered.
"Oh." Sakura's worried expression turned melancholy. "Umm, by the way, do you know when we leave China."
"In a week, why?"
"Cause, in a week me, Karin and Ling have to go back to school and I just wanted to have some fun before then. Umm, Karin is going shopping and Ling has Chun-li to buy her clothes. Since I have no clothes save my uniform, and Karin won't give me any money to go shopping, I was wondering if you would take me shopping." Sakura blushed.
Eliza only heard the words "take me shopping" and grabbed Sakura by the hand, dragging her into the penthouse. "Wait here." She ran upstairs. Moments later she emerged from her and ken's room with her purse.
"Eliza, sweetie…please don't go shopping again. Didn't you go shopping this afternoon?" ken asked as he walked after Eliza.
"But it's not for me Ken. It's for Sakura. The poor girl has no clothes and I can't have that." She explained as she pushed Sakura out the door.
Sakura smiled as she and Eliza walked into the elevator. So far her plan was working perfectly.
Dan and Liu had become good friends after their fight. Liu allowed Dan to ask any question he wanted about his past.
"So Liu, I was wondering... what's with you name?" Dan asked as he and Liu walked around the hotel lobby.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, Ryu has Japanese name, but you have a Chinese name. What's up with that?" Dan risked a glance at Liu, who was looking down.
"Well, Ryu and I don't have the same mother. Our father married my mother first, who was Chinese. He loved my mother very much and when I was born he allowed her to name me; although tradition has it that the father name the first born. About four weeks later my mother died, because her wounds from labor had not healed properly. After five years our father married Ryu's mother. And she had Ryu. She died giving birth, so our father named him. A week after Ryu's mother died our father came down with a sickness that was incurable. I think it was partly because of depression. I think he knew he would die, which is probably why he sent us to Master Gouken. He probably didn't want us to catch the sickness. Ryu grew up without a father and sometimes I think he thinks it's unfair, ya know?"
Dan nodded.
"But then I think that Master Gouken has been Ryu's father for most of his life and how unfortunate that Ryu had two fathers taken away from him and I only had one taken away. Liu stared down while saying this. And there was a long silence before Dan spoke again.
"But Liu, you didn't grow up with Ryu, why?"
" I stayed with Ryu until he was five. But I was disobedient and Master Gouken decided to send me away. I was always disobedient, I think because I was mad about my father dying. But I think Master Gouken wanted to wait until Ryu would remember me before sending me away. If he took me away while Ryu was still young, Ryu wouldn't even know I existed. And he would be too stubborn to believe I was his brother. Anyway he sent me to China, where the monks helped me calm down."
Dan nodded, "I see. You don't mind me asking this do you?"
Liu smiled, "No, I don't, I guess I've gotten over it. Just don't mention any of this to Ryu or you will regret it." He warned.
Dan nodded, " I won't."
