Fists and Flames: Beginning of the Cataclysm Ch.16
By Sakura152
The Spring Erupts:
Chun-li stormed into the room toward Sakura. Raising her hand, she slapped Sakura as hard as she could. The force of the slap knocked Sakura off the bed.
Sakura held her face as she got up. She kicked at Chun-li's sides and rammed her fist at Chun-li's face.
Blocking the kick, Chun-li grabbed Sakura's hand, which was an inch from her face. She twisted Sakura around and placed her arm behind her back.
Just when Chun-li was about to knee Sakura in the back, Sakura lithely lifted her leg, kicking Chun-li's face.
Chun-li's head snapped back.
Turning quickly around, she slapped Chun-li as hard as Chun-li slapped her- or at least tried. Either way it knocked Chun-li on the floor.
Chun-li swept her leg across the floor and into Sakura's legs, knocking the adolescent street fighter on the floor. She stood up and grabbed Sakura by the hair. She then rammed her knee into Sakura's face three times, each time knocking the young girl's head back. She kicked Sakura, with a roundhouse kick, in the face then backslapped Sakura, scratching Sakura's face with her spikes. Chun-li stood back and cupped her hands behind her head, letting her chi drain itself into her hands.
Ryu, who had been watching the whole thing in complete shock, finally snapped out of his daze. He slightly limped to his wife's side (He was still a little hurt.) "Chun-li don't." He whispered gently.
Chun-li stood still a while not knowing what to do, then she slowly began to put her hands down.
As Chun-li was doing so, Sakura saw a chance to make one last blow to her. She got up with amazing speed and jump kicked Chun-li hard in the stomach, forcing the couple to hit the wall hard.
Chun-li grasped her stomach and let out a choked cry. 'The baby! Oh God what if I have a miscarriage? Ryu will find out I was pregnant!' Chun-li squeezed her eyes shut as she lay in Ryu's strong grasp.
Ryu helped Chun-li up and to the bed. "Sakura, leave." He said sternly, kneeling by Chun-li.
Sakura stood rooted in the spot she was. Her eyes set and her jaw determined she refused to leave.
Ryu glanced up at Sakura. She could tell he was no mood to deal with her. Especially after she just tried to kill him and just injured his wife. Yet she stood there, holding steady.
Ryu stood up, "Do you want me to hurt you? Because I could! And I'm in no mood to be playing around. So I suggest you leave before I do something you'll regret." Ryu growled before turning to aid Chun-li.
A knot of pain leapt into Sakura's throat and tears burned in her eyes. Rather than let Ryu see her cry Sakura turned and left, shutting the door behind her.
Ryu turned his attention to Chun-li, "Are you okay Chun-li?" He asked, a worried expression on his face.
Chun-li shook her head, "No. Take me to the hospital please." She said in one breath, tears in her eyes.
Ryu nodded as he helped her up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ryu waited anxiously out in the hall. ' I wonder why she wanted to go to the hospital. I've seen her take hits harder than how Sakura hit her, she can't be that hurt.'
"Ryu, Ryu is she okay?" Kitana said running to him. Along with her were Cammy, Eliza, and Ling.
"I don't know." Ryu said looking down.
"Oh God, I hope she doesn't have a miscarriage." Cammy said half praying, as she sat down next to Ryu.
"What? Miscarriage? She's pregnant?" Ryu felt his anger rising.
"Damn it Cammy!" Eliza said glaring at the Englishwoman.
"What?"
"He doesn't know! Chun-li didn't tell him yet!" Eliza hissed. "You know sometimes your stupidity amazes me."
Cammy frowned.
Ryu frowned and got up. "You knew?" He growled through gritted teeth.
Eliza nodded, "She told me first."
As this Ling began to cry uncontrollably. "This is all my fault. If I had just warned Chun-li or you what Sakura was planning to do, this wouldn't have happened." She sobbed.
Ryu narrowed his eyes, "You knew about that Ling? And you didn't tell me? Why?" ' Things just keep getting better and better.' Ryu thought sarcastically.
B-because Karin told me not to." Ling answered between sobs.
"Oh, so if Karin told you to jump off a bridge you'd do it?" Ryu shouted.
Ling started to bawl like a baby.
"Ryu stop it, She already feels bad enough!" Eliza said, hugging Ling.
"She feels bad! What about me?" Ryu asked, eyebrows raised. "I just got a strip tease and was almost killed by a sixteen year old girl!" He said as he spasmodically clenched and unclenched his fists.
Before Eliza could answer back, the doctor came out of the room, "You can see her now."
Every one rushed into the room.
On the bed, Chun-li sat peacefully. Her hands were folded in front of her as she waited for her friends.
"Are you okay?" Ryu asked Chun-li, suppressing his rage for now.
Chun-li nodded and smiled.
"Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant?" He asked, now that he knew she was okay.
Chun-li glared at Eliza, who shook her head and pointed at Cammy.
"Sorry." Cammy called, smiling apologetically.
Chun-li nodded at Cammy then turned back to answer Ryu. "I still am pregnant and I didn't tell you because you would have reacted the way you're acting now." She said calmly.
Ryu's anger disappeared. He sighed, "It's not like I don't want another baby Li. It's just that when you found out you should have told me right away and not tired to keep it from me. I would've found out somehow." He smiled slightly.
"Your planning to send me back aren't you?" Chun-li frowned.
"It would be the best thing." Ryu said calmly.
"I'm not going back Ryu. Whether you like it or not." She folded her arms.
Ryu nodded, he would have to change her mind about that. He went and leaned his head on hers. "Do you think you were wrong to hit Sakura?'
Chun-li shook her head vigorously, "No. I told you if another woman ever tried to touch you I'd kick her ass. The same applies to teenagers. And you threatened to hit her too." Chun-li said with an attitude at the mention of Sakura's name.
Ryu was silent for a while until Ling caught his eyes. She gave him a pleading look.
Ryu nodded, as if reading Ling's mind, he asked "Sure about sending them back tonight?"
Chun-li paused a moment. "Maybe we should wait until tomorrow morning."
"Sure?"
Chun-li nodded, "Absolutely positive."
