Fists and Flames: Beginning of the Cataclysm Ch.21

Getting There:

"Here you go Ryu." Chun-li handed Ryu an ice pack that he didn't ask for, but she knew he really wanted. He didn't look very hurt but Chun-li didn't want his, uh lower regions to go unused. Especially after the baby would be born.

Ryu smiled graciously at her and put the ice pack... there. He winced from its coldness but gradually got used to it. It was like taking a cold shower on one part of the body. "I still think you cheated." Ryu mumbled grumpily.

Ibuki raised a slender eyebrow, "I cheated? That's highly unlikely Ryu. I think you're just mad because you've been beaten by a teenage girl."

Ryu scoffed, "I'm not mad. I just think its unfair that you cheated and won."

Ibuki growled and stood up. "Would you like a rematch then?" Her hands clenching and unclenching at her sides as she huffed little of air through her clenched teeth.

"I can't fight in this condition." Ryu said matter-of-factically.

Ibuki sighed and rolled her eyes. "Men." She said loud enough for Ryu to hear.

        Ryu glared at her.

"Yes, they are annoying little buggers aren't they?"

Ibuki turned to see a small woman with two blond pigtails and a scar on her left cheek walking toward her.

"Who are you?" Cammy asked as she studied the length of the Shinobi's form.

"Ibuki." Ibuki bowed as she spoke.

Cammy nodded he head. "Nice to meet you. I'm Cammy." She stretched her hand out for Ibuki to shake.

Ibuki stared at Cammy's outstretched hand then looked back at Cammy with an 'I don't think so.' look in her eyes.

Cammy pulled her hand back. "Ok. Not very social." She mumbled and began to walk up the steps of the dojo. But her steps faltered when she saw Ryu on the porch, sitting in a chair, with an ice pack on his crouch. She giggled, "Ryu what happened? Did you see Chun-li in her knickers and fall on yourself?" Cammy giggled harder at this.

Ryu sneered at the giggling Englishwoman.

"Ouch! What happened buddy? You hurt your little buddy?" Ken grinned evilly at Ryu.

Ryu's expression changed from angry to mortified. "Sorta." He mumbled.

"Well, I hope you hurt it doin the right thing." Ken glanced at Chun-li, then back at Ryu and grinned sinisterly.

Chun-li walked outside, slapped ken on the side of the head and walked back inside to talk to Cammy.

Ryu stood up with a little wince. "Forget how I got hurt. What took you guys so long?"

"Oh. We had to wait for Cammy to order the sub. The only reason we were waiting so long was because Cammy got a little uh," Ken grinned, "Frisky with a sailor."

Cammy slapped Ken in the head and returned to talking to Chun-li.

"Why do I keep getting hit in the head?" Ken exclaimed, outraged.

"Maybe because you keep saying perverted stuff." Ryu suggested.

"Listen, unless you wanna have to sit there with another ice pack, I suggest you shut up. And it's not perverted." Ken huffed as he sat on the steps.

        "Hentai." Ryu mumbled.

Thankfully Ken hadn't heard him, he was busy rolling up the ends of his pants.

"What are you doing?" Ryu asked inquisitively.

"Fishing." Ken stood up and began to walk down stairs.

"Wait. Ibuki made some fish already." Ryu called out to his friend.

        "Who?"

"Ibuki. The ninja girl down there." Ryu pointed to her.

"Meow." Ken grinned, as he looked Ibuki up and down, noticing her rounded hips.

"Ken, I said ninja girl, not ninja woman. And Eliza, remember?"

Ken grimaced, "Missed that part. And I would never cheat on Eliza, she would kill me. You said she made some fish?"

"Yea, pretty good too." Ryu nodded, though Ken's back was to him.

Ken began to walk down the stairs, his stomach growling.

        "Wait Ken." Ryu whispered loudly.

        "What?!" Ken turned, frustrated.

        "Bring me a piece."

Ken nodded and continued on his way as Ryu avidly watched. "Um, you're Ibuki right?"

        Ibuki nodded.

"Yea, well someone told me that you made some fish for us. I was wondering in I could have some." Ken threw in a handsome smile.

Ibuki glanced over Ken's shoulder at Ryu, who quickly looked away and pretended to watch a bird in the sky. She smiled, "You may have some fish but Ryu may not." She shouted the last part looking at Ryu.

"What' d I do this time?" Ryu yelled back.

Ibuki rolled her eyes and turned to Ken. Again she smiled, "Before you eat would you please gather the people who haven't eaten so they don't have to ask me one by one?"

It seemed Ken wasn't the only one who used his charms to his advantage. He nodded at Ibuki's request.

"Mmm. You're a very good cook Ibuki." Cammy complemented, wiping her face with a napkin. "Now that everyone has eaten, we should discuss our plans. I think we should leave in about twenty minutes to an hour. What do you lot say to that?"

Everyone agreed - except Charlie of course.

"I think everyone is tired. We should stay another day and then leave. I mean what's the rush? Its not like Bison will move from Taiwan to some other country all of a sudden." Charlie smiled smugly, confidant with his argument.

"What's the rush? You bloody idiot, by this time tomorrow who knows what Bison could achieve. And yes he could just up and move to another country by tomorrow, he does have an extraordinary amount of technology. For heaven's sake how did you get in the army?" Cammy all but yelled at the pouting Charlie.

Ken, who was sitting next to Charlie, patted him on the back. "Don't worry Charlie, you'll do something right one of these days." He smiled.

Rose also comforted him, "Although he is an idiot sometimes, he is right Charles." Rose gave him a very mystic and very knowing smile.

The wide-open sea sparkled with the light of the moon. The calm waters were only disturbed by slight made by the stealth submarine underneath them.

The medium sized submarine was just large enough to fit fifteen people - they weren't comfortable but they could fit. Before their trip no one had been told Ibuki would be coming and why. They all thought she was just the cook.

"Bloody hell!" complained Cammy as she wiggled in her seat. "This sub is built for fourteen people. Why the hell did she have to come?" she motioned at Ibuki.

"She came to help." Ryu blushed slightly, deciding not to mention that she kicked his butt.

"Hmm, I guess a little uncomfort won't hurt that much. We need all the help we can get." Cammy smiled at Ibuki. "Do you ever take that mask off, dear?"

"No." Ibuki answered in a stern voice.

Cammy nodded unsteadily. She and Ibuki had a very unstable relationship since they met. "Right, we're five minutes away from Taiwan. What we're going to do is, sneak into the city through the side streets. They shouldn't have many guards there. Now the side streets are here, here, and here." Cammy pointed to three points on a holographic map of the city projected in front of them. "When we get in the city, we get out any hostages we find, alright?" Cammy looked around for any protest. But not even Charlie had one. "After that… we put a permanent stop to Bison's reign of terror.

A slight bump indicated they had reached land.

"Any questions before we head off?"

        Everyone shook their head.

Cammy nodded, "Okay, time to go."
