Chapter Twenty-Six

Charlie always knew his mouth would be the end of him. All his life it had gotten him into trouble to the point where he was surprised that he made it this far.

He gasped for air as he waited for his life to flash before his eyes. Oddly enough, the only thought that swam into his mind was of her. It was strange how the person he envied so much was the one he loved and did not know it until now. She was perfect for him, her long blond hair and intelligent sea blue eyes. He wished he could look into those eyes just one more time, but the only eyes he saw were white and had no trace of pupils. They were the eyes of the enemy, the eyes of Bison.

Bison narrowed his eyes at the paling, gasping man he held in his strong grasp. What in God’s name was he thinking of? He should be writhing in pain with a look of fear on his face, not staring off into space.

Bison smiled ferociously as Charlie’s eyes widened, as if he were seeing Bison there for the first time. He enjoyed beating the man to a bloody pulp, even though it took very little effort. He would enjoy it more when he watched his eyes widen with pain as he died.

Bison chuckled as his Psyco power poured into his hand, forming a bright purple ball. He bought it to Charlie’s head, “You’re not worth keeping.” He taunted, ready to release the orb of death. He would have if he had not been knocked into a nearby pillar.

Bison stood angrily, who would dare to stop him from killing this weakling? He smirked when he saw who it was, of course it had to be her. There before Bison, breathing heavily stood Rose.

Vega watched as the raven-haired woman spun through the air, her leg extended and heading toward his head. To him, she seemed to be moving in slow motion, although he kept telling himself that to her it was top speed. He smirked as he leapt up and kicked Kitana onto the dusty courtyard. Vega grimaced and realized too late that he had put too much force into his attack as he watched her body skid to a halt. He wanted to beat her of course, her being the enemy and all, but that did not mean he wanted damaged goods.

Vega smiled sadistically as he watched Kitana slowly stand and wipe off the blood that was dribbling down from her lip. He chuckled, his sick, twisted mind devising ways for her to use those lips later.

Kitana’s head snapped up meet his face when she heard chuckling. She growled menacingly and fought back the urge to charge at Vega. “Think Kitana, think! Don’t do anything rash, it may be nice to try and tackle but very stupid.’ She narrowed sharp green eyes as she tried to think up a plan that was logical and pleasing to the soul. Right now what her soul needed was Vega’s still beating heart in her grasp. She gave a bemused grin at the thought.

Vega gasped out of sheer delight at the murderous look in his soon to be concubine’s eyes, and moaned lustfully.

Kitana scowled, ‘Ah, to hell with it!’ She thought as she charged the rational side of her mind screaming for her to stop.

Vega dashed forward, starting with his left foot.

Kitana grinned inwardly, although she had made some mistakes she had learned a lot from them. When slashing, Vega started off with his left foot, and when kicking his right.

Just as predicted, Vega lashed out at Kitana, but she had already danced out of his reach and buried her elbow into his kidney.

For the first time, it was Kitana that made Vega cry out in pain instead of the other way around.

Kitana, not wanting Vega to get back the upper hand with an unexpected blow, ducked low for a sweep kick. It was a good thing that she duck, for she would have ended up with another vicious clash on her arm. She looked up quickly when Vega turned and slashed at nothing. She grinned and instead of kick, her fist flew up for an upper cut, connecting with his uncovered chin. Vega’s head snapped back, and Kitana kicked him in the stomach, making him bend forward. She then crouched and lashed his legs out from under him with a kick.

Pain shot through Vega’s back and chest as he fell to the ground. He did not like how this was going at all. He leaned back on his hands and kicked up. Vega grabbed Kitana’s ankle when she tried to kick him in the face, and backhanded her. Drawing back his left fist, he viciously punched her in the stomach, then grabbed her head and slammed her into the ground.

Kitana shook the dizziness from her head as she stood. She felt a strong hand grip one arm and a searing pain rip into the other. She cried out, had just added to four more to he cuts that would be scars.

Again Vega gave a sick chuckle at her pain.

Kitana’s eyes flashed with anger, and she kneed him in the groin. ‘He likes seeing blood so much, let’s see how he likes seeing his own.’ She thought as she grabbed on of her magically metal edged fans from her boot. She slashed at him, but missed. Vega had gotten over the pain quickly, and dodged. Kitana scowled, it seemed he was not as sensitive in that area as Ryu was. Her scowl quickly turned into a grin of sheer delight as she watched blood stream from under Vega’s mask, and dribble to the ground. It seemed she had not missed after all.

Vega growled loudly as he ripped off is mask. That little bitch had marred his perfect face! How could she? No man had a face like his. Vega snarled, and with speed that outmatched what she had seen, grabbed her arm and backhanded her once more. He drew her to stand flush against his chest. “You will pay for this, chicita puta.” He growled.

That was when Kitana did something Vega was not expecting. She kissed him.

Kitana did not know what to do. Vega looked beyond angry, so she did the first thing that came to her mind. She kissed him. It was not like she did not have a reason, she knew it would save her from being raped, and killed. She just hoped Liu did not see this and take it the wrong way. She began to draw up a deep seeded power that had long been buried within her. She squeezed her eyes shut, the biting pain in her stomach that drew up to her lips burned so much, but she knew she could not let go. Kitana opened her eyes to see Vega’s widen and him start to panic. She threw her arms around him tightly, making sure he did not get away. Damn it, she would jump on him to make him stay still if need be.

Slowly Vega’s face began to swell. Then, faster and faster his whole body expanded, blowing up like a balloon. Kitana drew her lips away from Vega’s and scurried behind a pillar. Just as she got there, Vega burst, sending blood, bones, and guts everywhere.

She sat still for a while, musing over her victory when she heard a scream. Looking up, she smirked ‘Looks like someone needs help.’ She thought before dashing off.
