Kairi dashed until he saw the campgrounds of the ninjas who he’d heard about. He walked silently inside and spotted one of the guards, Kairi pulled out his sword and crept up behind the ninja, in a quick movement he grabbed the ninja and slit his throat. After disposing of the body he continued wandering through the compound, he then spotted a large building and after looking around proceeded inside. There he saw shin chained to the walls and a sleeping guard. He walked silently inside and snapped the sleeping guard’s neck. He took the keys from the dead ninja and freed Shin. He shook Shin awake.

“ What?”, Shin asked as he awoke

“Shin its me Kairi” he responded.

“What happened Shin?” Kairi asked.

“ I was on my way back to the village until they spotted me, they have other prisoners also, but they are all women many of them have been sent away and killed”, he answered.

“ I have got to put a stop to this”, Kairi said.

“ Shin you go free the others while I kill the leader and bring Master his head”.

“ You be careful”, Shin said as he ninja saluted Kairi.

Kairi nodded as he left out of the building and headed towards the center building. He looked around and went inside. Inside he saw a large staircase, he went upstairs and the leader of the ninjas was there waiting for him sword drawn. Kairi unsheathed his sword and got into stance.

“ So you are the ninja the Bushin tribe sent” the head ninja spoke.

“ Why were you going to raid the Bushin village?” Kairi asked.

“ Well it was all part of our mission, you see were supposed to raid the village so we can kidnap the women and sell them as workers.” The ninja replied.

“You coward you have no honor; a true ninja would never fight innocent men or women”. Kairi said.

“Enough talk I have other things to take care so let us begin”. The Ninja said.

Kairi ran forward and slashed at the Ninja’s midsection. The Ninja blocked and countered with a quick strike to Kairi’s leg. Kairi reeled back in pain and slashed the Ninja across the chest then he kicked him straight in the stomach. The Ninja was in deep pain, he then threw a smoke bomb onto they ground. Kairi’s vision was clouded by the smoke, he felt around until he placed himself on a nearby pillar. The Ninja watched his every move as he prepared to strike. He jumped down and tried to stab Kairi in the back. Kairi vision was no longer clouded he turned around and saw the ninja coming down. He blocked the stab and kicked the ninja back.

“Shinki hatsudo.” Kairi yelled as he thrust his hands forward in a Hadoken-like motion.

The fireball flew across the room and slammed hard into the Ninja’s chest. The Ninja was pushed towards the wall. Kairi ran towards his enemy and used his mouryu kasen, he jumped up and sent one jumping side kick which connected to the left side of the Ninja’s face, he then kicked the right side of the Ninja’s face, he then ended it with a mid-air spinning heel drop. The Ninja’s face slammed into the floor. Kairi saw his chance to finish off his opponent, he lifted the Ninja up one handed by the throat. Kairi unsheathed his sword and prepared to kill his enemy.

“Wait, before you kill me tell me your name boy” the Ninja spoke.

“My name is Kairi”, Kairi said.

“You fight unlike any Bushin I’ve fought”, the Ninja said.

Kairi nodded and stabbed the ninja in the stomach, the Ninja died almost instantly. Kairi dropped the corpse to the ground and walked outside the building. There he saw Shin waiting for him. Kairi sheathed his sword.

“Let’s go Shin," Kairi said.

Shin nodded and they began walking home. They were silent the whole way home. Then Shin spoke

“Kairi has Guy returned yet?” Shin asked.

“No, when he does arrive he has to fight Master Zeku for the title of Bushin master,” Kairi answered.

They continued to walk till they reached a cliff near the end of the mountain. They decided to rest before they headed back to the village. Kairi started feel uneasy as if someone was watching him, he started looking around he saw nothing.

“Alright Shin let’s go”, Kairi said.

Shin stood up and as got up he felt a strange power coming from the woods. He shook off the feeling and started to walk with Kairi before they went anywhere they heard a voice yell.

“Messatsu Gou Hadou!”

At that moment a huge fireball flew and slammed into Kairi knocking him over the cliff. Shin watched in horror as Kairi fell knowing he won’t survive. Shin got into fighting stance but the shadowy figure just laughed at him. He then teleported away, Shin was left there by himself, he looked over the cliff

“Kairi,” Shin said quietly.

In the shadows a dark figure laughed evilly. A blood red kanji can be seen on his back. He is a demon. The demon looked at Kairi’s unconscious form. He laughed once more and lifted up the warrior. He started to walk away.

“You are now mine,” he said before teleporting.

When Shin made it back to the village, he told the others what happened. Nanase cried, Misao Had a blank look on her face. Hokuto did not say a word; instead she went over to the master’s hut. Misao left, Nanase just sat in a chair still crying. In the master’s hut a conversation is occurring.

“Master I know my brother is not dead, I want to look for him.” Hokuto said.

“Hokuto if you find him you must bring him back to the village immediately.” The Master said softly.

“Yes Master, I will bring him back.” Hokuto said bowing.

“Before you leave I want you to bring Shin to me.” The Master said.

Hokuto nodded and left, she found Shin and told him. She then went inside her house and started to pack. When she was done she put the bag over her shoulder and began to leave, just then Nanase ran in. She saw Hokuto packing and spoke

“Sis please bring back Kairi, I know he’s still alive.”

“Don’t worry Nanase I’ll him back, I promise you.” Hokuto said smiling.

She went downstairs and left the house. She had a dark feeling inside her mind. She feared she might’ve been wrong and Kairi didn’t survive the fall, either way she’d look for him dead or alive. She wondered how he could’ve been taken by surprise. She continued out to the gate until Misao stopped her.

“Hokuto wait I’m coming with you” Misao said.

“Misao I’m sorry but I must do this alone.” Hokuto said softly.

“Hokuto I must look for Kairi he is my best friend.” Misao said.

“Very well then, there is another reason you want to look for my brother isn’t there?” Hokuto asked.

Misao blushed, true there was another reason she wanted to take the journey. She had been in love with Kairi with as long as she can remember. She thought that when they found him she can finally tell him how she feels. Hopefully he would feel the same towards her. As they ventured outside the village they knew that if they failed Kairi would be lost forever.

“So you say this man had an evil aura around him?” The master said.

“Yes Master Guy.” Shin answered.

“This has to be the work of a higher being, a demon.” Guy Said
