Blind Love vs. Blind Justice Ch.2
By Ting-chan

Steadily and surely the speck of light from the distance approached, growing larger and brighter. The humming of the cargo boat's engine grew louder and louder until it finally reached the loading dock of the port, upon which time the motor emitted a ghastly cough and immediately halted.

Chun Li peered around the wooden crates and by the dim light of the lamps on the boat made out the silhouetted forms of five men as they moved to dock the ship into the port just some thirty feet away.

Reveling in a familiar and satisfying rush of adrenaline, she whispered into the communicator.

"This is leader Nemesis speaking. Station Alpha and Station Beta, be prepared to move in on target as planned."

"Nemesis, what about Gamma?"

Chun Li sighed before replying. "Gamma leader is here with me." She shot Jason a nasty look, only to get a sheepish shrug in return. "But they'll figure out what's going on."

"Yes ma'am."

"Wait for my command to move in."

"Will do Nemesis."

Again she looked at the men on the boat. By now, two men have descended onto the harbor and seemed to be unloading some cargo. As they wearily began pushing a large, heavy crate down from the ship on a make shift ramp, composed of really nothing more than a simple wooden plank, Chun Li heard gruff language issuing from their lips.

"What's that they're saying?" Jason wandered aloud as he curiously perked up his ears at the unfamiliar language.

"That dialect..." Chun Li mulled over the words that drifted to her ears from the direction of the boat before reaching her conclusion. "Southern Cambodian dialect with Takeo accent. Probably Chu Bot's men. Which means..."

She paused to pull out her gun from the pack of equipment.

"Which means?" Jason questioned as he followed her example reached for his fire arm.

"We'll be having a heroin harvest tonight."

Jason smiled roguishly at his young commander.

"You sure know your drug dealers."

His gun clicked restively as he snapped the safety switch off.

"Well," Chun Li sighed as she glanced over at her targets again. "You're bound to pick up a few things in this field after intercepting your fifteenth neurotic narcotics shipment."

The first box of the boat's shipment had been carefully deposited on the dock's deck and she saw the two unloading men begin heading back towards the boat.

"Alright, let's bring these guys down," Chun Li picked up her radio communicator. "Alpha, Beta, Gamma. Go, go, go!"

No sooner had she uttered those words, loud, blaring sirens sounded from out in the waters of the bay. The men on the boat expressed their surprise as three police boats seemingly appeared out of nowhere and beset them with bright flood lights.

Night became day and "commerce" became a nightmare.

After realizing their escape by sea was blocked, the Cambodian drug shippers spat out a few crude curses in their native tongue and scrambled off the boat and onto the dock.

"Freeze!" Chun Li darted out from her locale of concealment with Jason just following her.

One by one, each of the five foreign drug shippers came to an uncertain halt at their gun point. Chun Li gestured for them to raise their hands into the air, an act that the five reluctantly complied to.

Jason snickered derisively, "Gentlemen, welcome to Hong Kong."

In the background, the three police boats quickly reached the cargo ship. Some began raiding it to examine the freight it contained, while others started clambering onto the harbor to aid their commanding officer.

"Lieutenant," Chun Li pointed Jason's attention to the crate of shipment on that had been hauled off the ship earlier. "Get a crowbar, open that up and check out the 'loot' if you will."

"Of course Inspector." Jason managed an ostentatious salute, which to Chun Li seemed more than a bit fraudulent, before he started his saunter past the drug shippers.

Chun Li suspiciously eyed the men as they exchanged sly glances at each other. One of them, muttered an abrupt phrase she couldn't quite catch, which only made her feel all the more dubious and which resulted in the tightening of her gripe on the gun. Her gaze settled on one particular man of the group. He was a large, bulky man bearing a shaggy, squalid mustache and an impossibly outlandish nose which could only be described as possibly possessing an evil aura.

Jason strolled by them, on his way to examine the cargo crate. In a sudden blur of a movement, the mustached man tackled him to the ground and wrested Jason's gun from his hand. Chun Li instantly directed her aim of her gun at the man. She heard a series of clicks as the other officers in the background also whipped out their weapons.

"Don't move!" The man frantically yelled in his broken Chinese. "I shoot him."

"Put the gun down," Chun Li ordered, narrowing the scope of her glare on him. "Let him go."

"I shoot! I shoot!" The man nudged the barrel of the gun up against Jason's own skull. "Drop guns. I shoot!" With lack of other options, Chun Li simply threw the man another nasty look before she slowly lowered her gun to the ground and kicked it aside.

"Inspector!" She heard one of her men call out in astonishment at her actions.

Chun Li nodded slightly in their direction. "Lower your weapons."

The man holding Jason hostage turned away from Chun Li to face the other officers. "I shoot!"

It was that split second of his negligence that Chun Li utilized and instantaneously rushed in to attacked him. Taking four athletic strides in her enemy's location, she gracefully leaped into the air and then began spiraling her frame and powerful legs as her body descended towards her target.

"Rising Mountain Kick!"

The man managed to turn his head in time to only receive... 1... 2... 3 near-lethal kicks to his face, each blow of which Chun Li delivered with absolute precision.

The remaining four men stood utterly petrified as they heard an invidious CRACK, invariably the bridge of his nose breaking. A pitiful "Erk" was all the mustached man could utter before collapsing in a disgraceful heap on the ground, in the process releasing both the gun and Jason from his grip.

Chun Li turned to face the other men.

"I'm going to make this very simple," she stated while glaring at them with the ferocity that has made so many of her past opponents tremble before her. "I want no more trouble from ANY of you. Understand?"

Immediately all their hands rocketed above their heads in an indication of fear and surrender.

"Good, then we do understand each other."
