Dan was sitting down by a tree resting. He was woken up by some disturbance in the distance. What Dan saw nearly brought him to tears.

"Otou-san?"

Dan saw a man that resembled his father. This mysterious man was locked in battle with a giant who was well built. He also seemed to be a master of Muey Thai. Dan recognized this man as well...

"Sagat! It can't be!"

Dan tried to get up from the tree, but he couldn't. Some mysterious force held him still and forced him to watch the events that were happening.

The giant man threw a kick towards the smaller man. The smaller man blocked the kick, than delivered an elbow towards the giant man's leg. The giant man pulled his leg back, wobbling as he screamed from the pain that he had received...

"Not bad. But now the kiddie gloves come off..."

The giant man ran towards the smaller man before finally delivering a jumping knee attack...

"Tiger crush!"

The knee attack connected, and brought the small man down to the ground. Dan could only watch. All of this was so familar to him...

The giant man then attempted to stomp the little man flat, but the small man rolled out of the way. He got back on his feet and delivered a kick to the giant man's gut. As the giant man bent over in pain, the small man was charging up some ki into his fist...

"We end this now, Sagat!"

The small man finally threw his fist that was charged up with energy into Sagats' right eye. Sagat forgot about the pain in his gut, since it now went to his right eye which was bleeding.

"My eye! I'll kill you, Go Hibiki!"

Dan finally realized what was going on. He had a second chance to make everything right. If he could just get up, then Sagat would be dead, and his father would still be alive. Sure, this might change history for Ryu, but he wouldn't even miss it. Besides, this might be the chance that Dan needed to get his recognition. But there was one small problem. Dan was still stuck to the tree.

Sagat delivered a sweep kick that took Go Hibiki down. Before Sagat could deliver another attack, Go Hibiki got up and threw a punch towards Sagat's gut. Sagat grabbed the fist, and crushed it with his hand.

"Otou-san! I'll kill you Sagat! Oyajii!!"

Dan tried to get away from the tree, but just couldn't. He was forced to watch the inevitable...

Sagat grabbed Go Hibiki by the neck with both hands, and lifted him off the ground. Just then, a small boy ran towards the two men...

"Otou-san!"

"Dan! Get out of here! Run away!"

"Prepare to become an orphan, boy!"

Sagat took both hands, and twisted the neck of Go Hibiki before finally throwing him to the ground...

The little boy tried to attack Sagat, but was just pimp slapped to the ground.

"Dan! Hurry! Get out of here! And remember, I love you..."

Sagat charged up some energy in his fists before finally releasing the collected energy into the back of Go Hibiki...

"Tiger!"

Go Hibiki screamed his last as the tiger shot scroched him. Sagat then spit on the lifeless body of Go Hibiki. The little boy ran away, crying.

Dan's eyes were full of tears. He had failed to save his father. But just when he thought it couldn't get any worse...

Sagat turned towards Dan.

"Now I'll finish the work that I started on your father..."

As Sagat began charging up energy, an eyepatch suddenly appeared over the eye that was bleeding. A scar also appeared on his chest. This looked more like the Sagat of the present...

Dan tried to get away from the tree, but he was still trapped. Sagat then released his energy into Dan...

Everything went black...

Dan opened his eyes. There were no injuries on him. The only thing that was damaged was the tree where he had practiced his Gadouken. Sagat wasn't around. Nor was his father or the little boy that was his younger self. Dan finally came to one conclusion...

A dream. That's all it was. A reminder of the pain that had plagued his childhood. Dan had to defeat Sagat to have peace in his heart...

Dan got up off the ground, and started practicing. He needed to be ready for the day that he finally has his revenge...
