Changing Sides Ch. 6

Chun-li slowly opened her eyes. Immediately she felt a wave of nausea wash over her. The room she was in was dark…except the lights above lighting it just enough. Chun-li didn't know why but her body was sore all over. She found she couldn't move because her hands and legs were restrained. She opened her eyes completely when her eyes got use to the lighting. The room was big…and doctors in white coats were everywhere. Chun-li found that she was positioned on a vertical upright flat table and she had something over her mouth.

She tried tugging on the bonds but found she was too weak to do so. Just then 2 doctors came up to her. One a short man and the other a tall woman with thin glasses and blond hair, which was in a French roll. Both were smiling ear to ear. "Ahh Miss Xiang…you've come back to the land of the living", said the man. "I am Professor Willie…and this is my assistant Doctor Kate", he said indicating to the blond. Chun-li just glared at him. "I'm sure you're wondering where you are and why you're here. Well…you are at Shadowlaw's home base. As to why you're here…I'll let my master fill you in on that", he said with a snicker. Although Chun-li was angry, confused and scared…she never let her face portray what she was feeling. Her face remained emotionless. She turned and to her right, she saw a tall up right rectangle column of water beside her 5 feet away. It looked like one of those water tanks Hudini used in his magic shows. Except it had various wires and cord hooked up to it. One cord mainly…which was the biggest, caught her attention. She followed it with her eyes and found out that it was hooked up to a gigantic machine. Behind the tank was a platform attached to it, which was probably how people got in.

Just then across the room the wall opened revealing the entrance. In walked M. Bison with Vega in tow. The two doctors stepped aside for the two new comers. Chun-li was still looking at the tank…so she didn't notice the two come in. "Good evening Miss Xiang", said Bison trying to get her attention. As soon as Chun-li heard his voice she closed her eyes.

'I will NOT break down in front of him', she told herself. She turned her head to face him and slowly opened her eyes. He stared at her with eyes as cold as stone. Chun-li felt tears of hate and anger gather in her eyes. She quickly blinked them back. She then looked at Vega. He looked back at her with a smirk.

'I can't believe I trusted him' she said to herself.

"I'm sure you're wondering why I have brought you here. Well…you could say I invited you here for an experiment", Bison said getting her attention. Chun-li's face… that had remained unemotional the entire time…frowned. Then she raised an eyebrow. "I'm going to do the same Psycho Power experiment I did on Blanka…to you", he said. Fear flickered in Chun-li's eyes. As soon as it had appeared…it disappeared. But it didn't disappear fast enough. For Bison saw it and a small smile appeared on his face.

"When I experimented on Blanka…the experiment its self had…flaws in it. But Professor Willie has changed that. He has been working on to improve them. So in other words…you will be a pawn" said Bison. Anger swirled in Chun-li's eyes. "The results will come out 1 of 2 ways. If it works…you will become a powerful fighter…who will be under my command. Having more power than you could imagine. Or you can die…because your body can't handle the power. But I think it will be the first of the two…seeing as how you are already a powerful warrior. And if everything goes as planned…Shadowlaw will have a fifth Lord", said Bison. Bison then turned to Professor Willie and gave him a small nod.

Professor Willie nodded back and pulled out a tranquilizer. He put it in Chun-li's neck and Chun-li blacked out. The professor then motioned to two henchmen. They walked over and un-strapped Chun-li. After that was done one of them picked her up and carried her to the platform above the tank. Once there he put an oxygen mask over Chun-li's face. Then he dumped her feet first in the tank of water.

Professor Willie walked over to the Psycho Power machine and pressed a few buttons. After hearing a beep he pulled a red lever. A low humming sound rumbled from the machine. Dark purple energy ran through the cords connecting to it and to the tank that Chun-li was in. A current of Psycho power ran through the tank like little lightning bolts. They then ran through Chun-li's body causing her unconscious body to tremble a little.

Satisfied Bison turned on his heels and proceeded out the way he came. Vega stared at Chun-li for a few seconds longer before following Bison…
