It is a dark night in Japan. A man in a red headband sits on the top of Mt. Fuji. All that can be seen of him is the silouette of this white gi. It is torn and tattered from previous battles. He sits there, meditating. He thinks of past rivals. His best friend, the man he scarred, the young grappler, and the murderer of his mentor. Suddenly, lightning strikes and Ryu is awakened out of meditation. Not by the lightning, however, but by a presence. He stands up and looks around. The power he feels is familiar, evil. Lightning strikes again and for a brief second, a tall man can be seen. He wears a necklace of gigantic spheres and his eyes glow red.

"Ryu..", speaks the spectre like man, "I can wait no longer for you to give in to the need to win..There is no one else in the world that can possibly put up a fight against me. It is time!"

"Akuma, we are different, you and I. You fight for the win only, I fight for the challenge and to improve myself. I would object to your match, but I realize you would have it no other way."

The two fighters get in their stances, each on either side of the monstrous hole in the top of the volcano. The mountain grumbles with anticipation of the bout. Akuma, attacks first, he jumps into the air, clearing the volcano, attempting to land a kick to the face of Ryu. Ryu rolls under Akuma and attempts to sweep him when he lands. Akuma senses this coming and jumps over Ryu's leg. Akuma spins around to face Ryu and lands a jab to his stomach. Ryu counters back with a jab of his own to the cheek of Akuma. Akuma smiles with his evil grin and uppercuts Ryu into the air. Ryu lands with a thud on the ground. Akuma chuckles as he cups his hands at his sides.

"Gou hadoken!" A purple ball of energy flys toward Ryu. Ryu quickly counters,
"Hadoken!" The two energy balls collide and create a flash of light.

When the light dims, Akuma looks around. He looks up and sees Ryu coming down on top of him. Ryu lands a jump kick to the face of Akuma, then crouches down and uppercuts him, as Akuma staggers backward Ryu cups his hands at his sides, summoning all the energy he has,

"Shinkuu...Hadoken!!" A gigantic energy ball stikes Akuma in this chest and sends him flying. Akuma lays on the ground for a second then slowly climbs back to his feet. "I should have seen that coming. No harm done however. Now it's time to die Ryu! I am the strongest!" Akuma warps at Ryu and crouches,
"GouShoryuken!" Akuma shoots upward with his fist outstretched. It connects under the chin of Ryu and sends him into the air then onto his back.
"Now, Ryu, the match is over..Shun...Goku...Satsu!!!"

Akuma summons all his energy into his body and warps toward Ryu. Ryu turns around and sees Akuma coming toward him. Ryu has heard of this move. This is the Raging Demon, the move that his master refused to teach him. Ryu is cornered. He is in front of the mouth of the volcano. Ryu, thinking fast, hops over Akuma at the last second. Akuma, unable to stop himself and falls over into the mouth of the volcano. He tumbles down the wall and into the lava below...
Ryu walks over to the mouth of the volcano. Akuma's necklace hangs on a rock above the lava, but Akuma's body was swallowed up and destroyed.

"Master, your death has been avenged. I didn't mean to kill him, but the victory is mine." With that, Ryu turns and picks up his sack and starts to walk down the mountain. All the while thinking to himself, "Something tells me this isn't the end of Akuma.."

In the depths of hell, Akuma awakens before the feet of an unknown. He looks up into the eyes of Satan himself. "AKUMA!" he growls. "I HAVE A PROPOSITION TO MAKE..."
